Hello! My name is José Luis Gaitán.

I graduated as an Adverticing oriented Graphic Designer at the Nueva Escuela de Diseño y  Comunicación in 2004.

 

I have also participated in the following proyects:

 

 - Concept art at  Image Campus.

 - Digital painting with Alex Dukal.

 - Traditional animation workshop with Carlos Ruiz Brussain.

 - Comic and story board workshop with Walter Taborda.

Some of my most important work:

 

 - I am currently working in Techys Studio as an animator, graphic designer, illustrator and concept artist for several video games.

​

 - Until 2016 I was a professor at the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Centre (UBA) for the "Comic Technique and Creative Illustration" Workshop (2008-2015).

​

 - Illustrator at NonStop, creating, illustrations, billboards, toy designs and storyboards for Disney’s "Art Attack" show.

​

 - Illustrator for Red Cross booklets published by La Nación (newspapper).

 

 - Background coloring for "Cecil Pencil" (short film) at Hook Up Studio.

​

- I was the Laura Paicher`s graphic designer, LP Entrenamiento en Patín. Laura is the current physical trainer for the Argentine Female Roller Derby Team (Team Argentina).

 

 - Images, photographs, brochures, business cards, menus and catalogs for Kakawa Chocolate Store

 

 - Creator and writer for Babetool (graphic novel, published in USA and England by Com.X).

 - Artist/Co- creator for Kinara, graphic novel (published In Argentina by Domus Editora).
